Hi I'm Wendy

I am a Mormon

About Me

Hi, I have been married for several years to wonderful return missionary. I have a daughter with autism. She is a beautiful child. Our family has learned to communicate with her fairly well. It helped to start with some basic sign language. I also watch a little boy during the day so his mom can work. I love being around kids, especially the very young ones. They are so cute and it's neat to see them grow. Keeping up with them takes most of my time, though I do like to check facebook to keep up with my familiy and friends. I like to listen to soft music, watch sentimental movies, and to do the Wii Fit. It's fun to get out in nature when the weather cooperates. I have an Associates of Science degree in Pre-Nursing. I like to know how things work, especially people. I'm fascinated with the mind. It's amazing how small and yet how intricate it is. It seems to be the most mysterious part of the human body.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a Mormon. My parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents are all Mormon. It is a family tradition, but it's also a wonderful part of my life. I feel at peace with my life as a Mormon. I love the perspective it gives me. It helps a lot with my daughter. I know that she is not 'different' to Heavenly Father. He knows what she can become, and I know that this life is not the end. Someday we will all be resurrected and have perfect bodies. I have felt the Holy Ghost witness to me softly many times of the truthfulness of what I have read in the scriptures, and I always feel it when I listen to the prophets speak at General Conference. That occurs twice a year.

How I live my faith

I am in charge of putting out the programs for church every week. It's important for people to have the information for the meeting as well as helpful phone numbers for those in leadership positions. I also am a visiting teacher. Another lady who goes to the church at the same time I do is my companion. We visit 3 different ladies that also go to our church. We visit them once a month in their homes to get to know them better and to share an uplifting message found in a church magazine. It's important to know the needs of other people so we can know how to help them.
