Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a U.S. Navy Sailor, I'm a guitarist, I'm a nerd! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an optimist. I live my life trying to look at the greater part of it. I find it's hard and harsh to try and get by letting all the things of the past drag you down. I love to play guitar and mandolin, work out and run, watch movies and play video games; I do a little bit of everything! I feel that I'm going to have a hard time settling into a career as I age. Thanks curiosity! I've always had a fascination about the creativity of the human race. It never ceases to amaze me. It inspires me to be creative as well. I try my hand at composition and artistry. I try to be a great story-teller. I try to be a programmer. This leaves me with far too many hobbies to enjoy! The creativity of our Heavenly Father has never ceased to amaze me as well. In my hikes and outdoorsy adventures, I've seen fantastic views of the grand world our Heavenly Father has laid before us. I was converted into the faith as I was preparing to join the Navy. During the time before I had been dating a woman I thought I might have married at one point. I had cut off the relationship knowing that I had to leave behind my life in my hometown if I was to progress any further in life. It sent me into a depression that had lead me to drinking and partying. It was something I felt that wasn't meant for me. When I decided to stop and return to my hometown, I was greeted by an old friend. I was introduced to the LDS church and baptized two months later. A month later I'd joined the Navy. I'm now happily married.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church because I felt Heavenly Father's love and had a chance to peek at my plan of salvation up until my present. A very good friend of mine whom had moved away when we were eight years old contacted me twelve years later at the moment I was searching for some kind of truth. She told me after I was baptized three months later that her mother prayed about me when we were even younger. She got the answer, "He will be taken care of." Fifteen years later I was graced with such a powerful feeling that I could not doubt the words of our wonderful Gospel. I know it's true and I love being a Latter-day Saint.

How I live my faith

I'm an advocate for positive thinking! So I take upon me the ideals of an optimist; And if you met me, it would be so clear that I am one. I believe in charity and know that if I keep myself in the knowledge of the gospel and believe in the light that is Him, I can care and minister for people as He has and will. I've seen so much cynicism and pessimism around me that I know without Christ, we would be a dark and sad people. It is because of Him, that I refuse to be downtrodden. It is also because of Him, that I wish others to benefit from His love and help them develop their happiness for themselves and others. I know advocating optimism helps others see their strengths and develop past their weaknesses. It is through His example I live my faith. It is through Him I can live my life to the fullest.
