Hi I'm Brad

I'm a college student, I hang out with friends, I love movies and the Gospel, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I've lived in Dayton all my life, I work for a minor league baseball team. I go to community college. I love movies, I know a lot about movies and the different trivia that some people may not know. I love most kinds of music, not rap though, if I can't understand what they're saying or the lyrics are bad, I'm not listening. I play basketball, some football, and ultimate frisbee. I love the Book of Mormon and I'm planning to go on a mission in July 2012.

Why I am a Mormon

I did not have the oppertunity to grow up in this church. I was raised Catholic, and throughout my youth I begun to lose faith in God and Jesus Christ. In my senior year of high school, I became good friends with a girl in my class, and she asked me to take her friend who was homeschooled to our high school's homecoming dance. I gladly accepted and we went along with my good friend and her date. The next day was church, we ended up going to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My date and my good friend were members of the church. During Sacrament meeting, I had felt something that I had never felt at the Catholic church. It was a good feeling and I knew something was different and good about this church. I acted upon that feeling and started going to seminary in the morning. A few weeks later, I began to go to church on a regular basis. My good friend's date had also begun to attend seminary and church and he had set up a baptism date. I attended to support him and his baptism and the Restoration movie shown after would be my turning point. The spirit hit me hard and let me know that the church is true. After the service, I went up to the missionaries and said I'm next. A year later on the 1 year anniversary of his baptism, I was baptized. I currently hold the Melchizedek Priesthood. I know that this church is the true church of Jesus Christ. I know that He lives and God lives and they love us all equally, there are no favorites, we are all equally important to them. I know Joseph Smith was a chosen prophet of God and he restored the church to it's complete fullness and truthfulness. I know he translated the plates into the Book of Mormon. I know that if we have faith in God and Jesus Christ and if we endure to the end, we can return to live with them.

How I live my faith

I try to share the Gospel with friends. I attend church every Sunday, I read the Scriptures daily, I go teaching with the the missionaries whenever I have the oppertunity. I try to live the example that Jesus Christ set. I love bearing my testimony whenever the oppertunity arises because having a strong testimony is key to my faith.
