Hi I'm Jefferson

I was born and raised in the California Bay Area. I practice the Art of Smiling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in this church since birth into this earth, But it took me twenty years to figure out my worth. Then I grabbed my white shirt and without script of pusre Preached the gospel for two years on New Mexico's turf; Quotin' verse after verse, knockin doors til' it hurt. Scriptures daily search, give me strength, quench my thirst. Livin' better not worse when the kingdom you seek first; With the Lord on my side I'm crushin Satan like a smurf. Brush your shoulders off from sin and dirt; Keep it clean never curse; Press forward saints and dont ever press reverse Stay immersed in this church; With the Lord always converse. We all have work, let no man shirk. Our ladies always lookin pretty sportin lengthy skirts; Its all smiles at the door from the greeter never curt. Dont try to tempt me cuz your bubble will get bursts; Reppin Latter Day Saint til I’m ridin in a hurst

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that God is my loving Heavenly Father and that His son Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. Even though I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints there was a time during my later teenage years where I did not feel a need for religion in my life. However during college I began to feel that my life was lacking purpose and direction and I felt quite alone and insignificant. When I would occasionally attend church I saw other members of the church as well as family members who seemed genuinely happy. When they would testify of the happiness that living the gospel brought them it lead me to question whether or not I could be happy like that. An older brother eventually invited me to read the whole Book of Mormon and pray to find out if it was true. After finishing the book I kneeled down and vocally asked my Heavenly Father if it was a true. I soon felt an overwhelming sense of confidence and security envelope me that I had never felt before. I knew that it was my Heavenly Father letting me know that He knew me personally and that He loved me more than I could imagine. These feelings also confirmed to me that the Book of Mormon was true, that Jesus Christ is my savior, that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's kingdom once again established on the earth. Heavenly Father loves me and I return that love by keeping his commandments. . .this is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try my best to help others feel Heavenly Father's love for them by: 1. Remembering their name. 2. Smiling 3. Becoming genuinely interested in who they are i.e. their interests, likes, dislikes, background, education, etc. 4. Inviting them to come unto Christ by coming to church, activities, reading the Book of Mormon, meeting with the missionaries. 5. Serving them 6. Exemplifying Christlike attributes
