Hi I'm Mark

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Southern California. I love riding motorcycles, camping, and spending time with my family.

About Me

I love the feeling of freedom I get when riding my motorcycle, after long days at work, it's a great way for me to relax and unwind. I also enjoy riding 4-wheelers in the sand dunes, there's nothing more peaceful than watching the sunrise over the dunes. I work as a facilities manager in charge of 25 restaurants. My greatest accomplishment in life is my children, and my wife is my best friend. We have a lot of fun together as a family. Although I didn't complete college (I quit early in order to start my own business and a family) I value my education. I have continued to learn things all my life as I advance my career and learn all I can about the business I'm in. I have encouraged my kids to continue their education, and the two oldest are currently in college.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon, and have always had great friends who supported me in my religion, even though many of them were not LDS. I always invited my friends to church, and in turn my friends always invited me to theirs. While I almost always felt comfortable and welcome at other churches, I never felt the same warm feeling I felt when I went to an LDS church. I realized fairly early in life that that feeling of warmth was the influence of the Holy Ghost, it was always a comforting feeling. I have come to rely heavily on that feeling as I make my friend choices, my business choices, and even everyday little choices like which freeway to take to work. God is the director of our lives, and if we listen closely to the promptings of the Holy Ghost, He will guide us through each day of our lives. I believe in Christ, and I believe that He organized His church when He lived here, and I believe He has restored that church today: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have always been an active participant in church, I attend church weekly and try to participate in as many community outreach programs as my work schedule will allow. I have been involved as a youth leader and teacher on many occasions. I have also taught the adult Sunday school class for several years. I served a two year mission in the eastern United States. It's important for me to do all I can to serve in the church, because at some point we all need to be served.
