Hi I'm Conrad W. Stephens

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Joined the Church in September of1983, 2 1/2 years after my wife. I retired in 1999 having worked for Albany International for 25 years. I am have a BSEE from Michigan State University graduating in 1963. We moved Wisconsin in 1965 and still reside here. The last two years of my work we lived in Strausburg, France, where I served in the Bishopric. Our son Scott joined the Church first in 1979 and obviously helped us to follow him. Our greatest blessing was to be called into the Chicago Temple Presidency serving under President George Watson. This calling was extended and we served 4 full years. We are the proud parents of 3 children (only our son Scott is a member) 13 grandchildren as well as 7 great grandchildren. I am currently serving as the Family History Center Directory in my Ward.

Why I am a Mormon

Being exposed to the truth for an extended time finally brought an answer to my prayers telling me that I needed to be baptized and even giving me a date. I like to say I wore out 7 sets of sister missionaries. Their diligence and love is something to behold. Since Baptism I have never looked back but only forward with an eye single to the glory of God. The Church has truly made my life worth much more than I thought it could be.

How I live my faith

My wife and I went through the Ward lists of all those who meet here in Appleton and selected all the shut-ins and we try to visit them as often as possible. We support the Missionary efforts of our Elders in any way we can. We strive to be a good example to all we know and live by the commandment of our Lord and God. We spent time each day together reading scriptures and watching talks from BYU-TV.
