Hi I'm Brenna

I'm a Mormon! I'm married to a med. student. I am a Spanish teacher and Theatre director, now staying at home with a new baby.

About Me

I studied theatre and Spanish education at BYU-Idaho. I served a mission in Honduras and have studied/researched in Spain and Peru. I'm married to a wonderful med student who's less than a year away from becoming a doctor. We're both fluent in Spanish. I taught high school Spanish and directed theatre for 4 years before deciding to stay at home with our new baby. I continue to assist with theatrical productions at the high school where I worked and am involved in symphony, choir, book club, quilting and gourmet cooking. My husband and I love to travel, and we have the goal of eventually serving medical missions around the world together.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother and grandmother found the church together before I was born. Both of them faced great opposition in living the gospel while their husbands rejected it. When my mother re-married, I had a much more solid introduction to the gospel and we lived a life in harmony with it. I have had the unique opportunity in my life to observe the gospel at work in the lives of half my family members and the rejection of the gospel in the others. The difference is immense. I always felt like I was on the outside looking in at how others chose to live, and the consequences that they reaped as a result of their actions. I know that the gospel directs us to a path that will lead us to eternal life and happiness, because I've seen it in action.

How I live my faith

I love to share the gospel through music. I am currently the choir director in my congregation as well as the music chairman, and I love to play my violin or sing special musical numbers for our meetings. I help other people discover their talents and use them to build up the kingdom of God. Some of the times that I feel most close to God are through praising him in sacred music.
