Hi I'm Don

I'm a Mormon but have not been one my whole life.

About Me

I am now a Grandpa of five grandchildren. I have been a Mormon since age 17. I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints shortly after graduating from high school. Many of my friends were Mormon and they shared the church by inviting me to many social events and inviting me to play on their ward sports teams. I served a mission for the church in Germany and enjoy going to europe whenever I get the opportunity. I currently teach Graphic Arts at the Community College level.

Why I am a Mormon

I am an active member of the church because I learned through prayer and study that God will answer our sincere prayers. I asked Him about the church and he confirmed the truth of it to my soul through the feelings inspired by the Holy Ghost. It is constantly reconfirmed to me that the teachings of this church are true and that anyone wishing a knowledge of the truth of the "Mormon Message" can learn it for themselves. You just need to be sincere and be honest with yourself.

How I live my faith

I just try to do my best. I try to be fair with others and treat them as I would want to be treated. I am involved with the church and have served in many capacities, with youth programs, scouting, service and visiting members. I am an ordinary man with many failings but try to do what I think my Savior Lord Jesus Christ would want from one that claims to follow His teachings.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Don
In my experiences the missionaries will talk about anything that is of a concern to you. They will always approach the topic from a spiritual point of view. In other words they will help you relate to Jesus Christ and the help he has provided for us to have faith in Him. They will talk about building that faith and invite you to come unto Christ for a better way of life for you and your family. Show more Show less
