Hi I'm Jeff

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of 4 wonderful children - ages 9,7, 4, and 1. I work as a healthcare executive and enjoy playing sports and games with my wife and children. As a family, we love the outdoors and spend as much time as we can at the beach, the park, the local hills, and mountains. Our favorite activity is surfing (or at least mine is.) I'm trying to help my kids get into the sport, much to my wife's concern, and I think they're starting to come around. When I'm not working or surfing, I spend most of my time as many busy fathers do: building pinewood derby cars, helping with school assignments, rocking sleepless babies, and trying to squeeze in the occasional date night with my beautiful wife. Occasionally I find time to squeeze in some of other favorites interests: playing the guitar, skiing, wake boarding, and camping.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and will always be grateful to be raised in a home where I was taught to love the Lord and encouraged to study His words in the scriptures and through His living prophets. When I was about 10 years old my mother encouraged to me to pray and ask my Heavenly Father if the things that I had been taught and the things that I had read (particularly in the Book of Mormon) were true. I accepted my mother's invitation and have continued to pray since to gain a spiritual confirmation of the things that I believe. I have been blessed with peaceful reassurance of the things that I believe to be true that they are indeed of God. I have seen the hand of my Father in Heaven throughout my life guiding me, teaching me, and blessing me. I know that He lives and that this is His church.

How I live my faith

My faith has helped me and my family in wonderful ways. Most important to me are the daily simple things like studying the scriptures as a family and on my own, daily prayer, and our weekly family nights when my wife and I teach our children gospel principles. Nearly every week I set aside one evening to visit families and individuals in my neighborhood that need help or the spiritual uplift of a gospel message. I try to involve my children in community and church service whenever I can. For example last week we helped collect canned food goods for the community food bank and my kids had a blast. I love the blessings that come to me and my family as we strive to do as Christ did in serving and helping others
