Hi I'm Cynthia Wright

I am mother, grandmother, quilter and photographer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Cynthia. I love quilting and sharing my quilts with those that I love. I also love photography- capturing those amazing moments in life that reveal who we are and what we feel, in ways that allows us to always remember. I am the mother of six wonderful and unique individuals, who are going out into the world and making it a little better place through their service, wisdom, love and compassion. I am grandmother to four delightful children that bring a smile to my face and joy to my heart whenever I see their bright little faces. I have been married for over 30 years to a wonderful man and I feel blessed to have the privilege of going through this life with him. We have traveled through much of the world together and hope to see more of it during our lifetime.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ became part of my life when my mother decided to start attending church again and my father was baptized. I was very young, so I grew up in the church. When I was in my early teens i studied the words of a living prophet of God who taught the importance of making decisions in your youth that would guide you in your life and lead you to happiness. I decided to do so, choosing to follow the prophets teachings to avoid drugs, alcohol, tabacco and many of the other "ways of the world". I chose to try to follow my Savior Jesus Christ and His teachings. These decisions that I made as a young teen truly have guided my life and I will be forever grateful. I have avoided much of the heartache that can come in this life through poor decisions. This church has taught me that I am a daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves me and as I have prayed and studied the scriptures and tried to follow His son Jesus Christ, I have felt His love for me. It is wonderful to feel loved by God and to know that he has a plan for me. It gives my life hope and purpose and direction.

How I live my faith

Being a member of this church has given me many opportunities to serve others and develop talents. I have served as a leader and teacher of youth, served in leadership roles in our organization for women and spent many years as a missionary and teacher helping people who are interested in our faith to learn more and those who are newly converted to transition into life as a Latter-day Saint. These opportunities to serve have brought a lot of joy into my life. I love sharing with others what I believe and what has brought happiness to me. I have found that when my life is difficult, the greatest remedy is to serve others. Another way I live my faith is simply by continuing to learn and grow and change. As I go through life, I discover things I did not know, I come to see myself more honestly and with the help of my Savior Jesus Christ, I become a little better through the gift of repentance.
