Hi I'm Ashley

I grew up on a small dairy in Southern Idaho. I love my family and love to laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a small dairy in Southern Idaho. Some of my favorite memories have been getting up extra early Christmas morning to quickly milk the cows with my Dad and brothers. I love my family, and they mean the world to me. I am the oldest and have four younger brothers. I love to laugh and have spent many evenings with my family laughing and quoting Disney movies. I enjoy playing the piano and organ. I played soccer in high school. I have an associate's degree and am currently serving a mission in Minnesota.

Why I am a Mormon

I was taught from an early age by my parents about Jesus Christ and His church that has been restored through a living prophet. My choice to continue in the faith has been the result of my own conviction and testimony that it is true. My parents allowed and provided me with opportunities to experiment upon it for myself. As I have read and pondered The Book of Mormon, prayed in faith, and strived to keep the commandments, I have felt the Spirit of God testify to my heart that these things are true and of God. The feeling I get when I read the scriptures or exercise the faith to stand up for what I believe in reassures my knowledge that what I believe in is true.

How I live my faith

I have learned that one of the greatest ways I can live my faith is by sharing my faith. As a missionary, I have the opportunity and blessing each day to share the knowledge that there is a living prophet upon the earth today who has been called by God to lead and guide His church. Through faith in Jesus Christ, repentence, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and striving all of our days to keep God's commandments, we can return to our heavenly home to live with God and our families forever. We can pray to God in faith about any principle of the gospel and learn for ourselves of it's truthfulness through the witness of the Holy Ghost. The gospel of Jesus Christ has brought me the most joy, peace, and direction in my life. It truly is the greatest gift I could ever give.
