Hi I'm Steve

I love life! I skateboard, draw, and want to be outside barefoot as much as possible! I serverd a mission in Texas.. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Cleveland Ohio. My mom and I were flying solo untill she met my step dad and my soon to be older brothers. Our parents were married and thats when the adventures began. I grew up my whole life in Ohio and served a full time mission in the Texas Lubbock Mission. I believed that the church was true my whole life, but on my mission I finally gained my own testimony and now I'm finally learning how to apply its principles in my life. I went through my fair share of trials in highschool and started hanging out with the wrong kind of people. Eventually I had to make a choice to either follow my friends and a life style that seemed "fun" or to go on a mission and do what the Lord wanted me to do. After some experiences I had the Church and the blessings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ outweighed all other pursuits. Now with a strong testimony I'm starting my life and plan on going to school, getting a job, and finding my future wife. I still have many adventures to persue and a life of trials ahead of me, but the Savior will help me. I still enjoy my metal music, skateboarding and growing a beard. Members of the church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints are normal people. I love to go camping, enjoy playing ultimate frisbee and doing any out door activity. I still know how to have a good time and can cook some mean chicken tacos... just ask my last companion on my mission. I love people and love serving them. If I'm free and you need help just let me know.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because they're freakin awesome! Even though I grew up in the church and had felt the spirit in my home as I lived Jesus Christs teachings, I wasnt always happy with it. I had friends of other faiths that seemed more happy than I was. I thought the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was Christ's true church, but I couldn't figure out why my other christian friends were having a better life than I was. I continued to go to church regularly but I started hanging out with kids that didn't live good life styles. I became angry and confused because I wasn't finding the peace I wanted. I eventually realized that my friends were draging me down and that the only time I ever felt peace was when I attended church and read the scriptures with my mom, mainly the Book of Mormon. I made a choice to finally try and live by the teachings of Christs gospel and it's paid off. The blessings that have come into my life are worth the sacrafice of being part of the "cool crowd". The peace I feel now that I'm doing what God wants me to is amazing. Thats why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my life as if Jesus Christ was walking beside me. -"would I say that if Christ was right beside me?" -"would I do that is the Savior stood next to me?" Its pretty self explanitory, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" or the golden rule. I try and practice what I preach. I keep my word, I follow the commandments the best I can. I know no one is perfect, only Jesus Christ was but that dosn't mean I can't try to be. I like to skateboard and dress diffrent but that dosn't mean I'm a bad person. Maybe I don't go to all the parties because Mormons don't drink, and I get funny looks because I say things like "oh my goodness" instead of taking the Lord's name in vain. I try and be a good example and do only things that would make God happy. Thats how I live my life.
