Hi I'm Aaron

I served in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission 2011-13. It was the best two years for my life. Now I'm a student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

All throughout my life I have been very involved with the Performing Arts. I sang in the Concert Choir and in the "Madrigals" in High School. I am a fan of all kinds of music. I was in many MANY theater productions. I also love to play sports. I played Baseball for 11 years and I played Golf in High School (dont let that fool you though I'm not that good haha). However, I love to play pick up games of football, basketball, frisbee, you name it and I'll play it. Even soccer, even though I'm not so good with my feet. I like to think of myself as a jokester but most of the time I'm probably the only one who thinks that I'm funny. I love to make people smile, especially if they look like they are having a bad day. I have a wonderful family. I love my Dad. He is one of my best friends and he has been there for me through my whole life. He married a special woman with a great family in 2009. She has brought our family so much joy and happiness through the things she does. I love my brothers, my sisters, my nieces and my nephews. My family members are my best friends. They are my support when times get hard. I know why our Heavenly Father blessed us with families. I served as a missionary in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission. :) I served in Minnesota, Ontario (Canada), and Wisconsin.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 12 my mother passed away after valiently battling breast cancer. One of the many blessings that our Heavenly Father has given us is the opportunity to be with our families forever. In this church we know that God has called a prophet in our time and that he has revealed again His plan for our Happiness. I find so much joy in the wonderful plan that our Father has provided for us. It made such a difficult time in my life so much easier to bear. It seemed a little unfair to me at the time because I was so young and I didn't feel like I had had enough time with her, but i found that putting my faith in our Heavenly Father was better than trying to blame him. I knew there was a plan and that God does everything for a reason. My mom had a higher calling in heaven. I know this. I miss her daily but I'm so glad I have this Faith to lift me up and comfort me when I feel like the world has beaten me to the ground There are many reasons why I'm a Mormon but the most important reason is because I have a testimony. I know, without doubt that this is the Church of Jesus Christ. I've had people question me, they think that I believe because I was "raised in it." That is not true. I couldn't be a missionay if I was following my parents beliefs....I would have quit by now, its too hard to do, but I know that God answers questions if we ask them. I know that He does.

How I live my faith

I love my faith, therefore, i live my faith. I have had many callings in the church. Some as a leader and others as a teacher. I remember the first time I was called to be a teacher. I was supposed to teach a class of members who had all served the lord and studied the scriptures for 2 years while serving as Missionaries. I thought " How can I teach these men who know so much more than I do." It soon became clear that I was not the teacher. I was called the "teacher" and stood in front of the class but they are the ones who taught me through their answers and discussions about certain topics. I've found this to be a great blessing as I was preparing to serve the Lord myself. God has a strange way of preparing us. i know that even when things look or seem strange, there is a purpose behind it that God may only know. So I live my Faith, but I also need my Faith to live. I served as a missionary in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission from June 2011 to May 2013.
