Hi I'm Mia

I'm adopted from Chile. I grew up in Sweden. I work as a nurse and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

For about two years ago I moved from a small town to a big city. Life is different here, time goes faster and there is much fun to do here. Town is nice but I prefer the countryside. I like being outdoors and taking photos of the beautiful nature. I love gardening! I like to watch movies, own a nice collection of DVDs. I am also interested in genealogy and scrapbooking. I work as a nurse, who gives me a lot. I love my job!

Why I am a Mormon

I myself have always had a feeling that this gospel is true. I had a feeling of being loved by someone more than just my earthly parents. I was baptized when I was 9 years old. I remember I had a wonderful feeling inside me that day. When I was around 9 years I also had the first real answer to prayer that I remember. The family's cat had run away and was gone for several months. I prayed every night to the Heavenly Father, that our cat would come back. I was sure he would hear my prayer. My parents comforted me, but said it might gone too long time. But then one Sunday, when the sun shined and there was snow on the ground. I opened the front door and saw the cat track that led around the house. Mom said it probably belonged to another cat that visited us earlier on the night. But I knew there was something special, so I followed them around the house. On a staircase to a storage room he sat, our beloved cat! He had been away all winter, so he was thin and a little shy but he let me pick him up in my arms and I carried him into the house. I knew then for the first time that God really answer prayer. He hears his children's prayers matter what, as long as you have a righteous desire. As the years has passed, I have received confirmation and confirmation again that the gospel, which is the same as Christ taught in those days he was living on earth, that it really is true! I know this because I have prayed and felt it in my heart, a sense who are wonderful, peaceful and beautiful, a confirmation wich I can not deny. Heavenly Father will hear prayer. And he responds to much greater difficulty than a cat that has run away. I can promise that. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for us so that we may one day come back to Him. I know this can we do as families and be together forever, this really is a wonderful knowledge! I therefore try to live every day like He tought us and wich his Son Jesus Christ showed us.

How I live my faith

At church, I have the assignment/calling to lead, assist and be an example for youths between 18-30 years. I love doing this! I learn a lot and I get the opportunity to know many new people because I belong to a group that has the responsibility to assist and support many young people in different cities. It can eg. inform and plan a variety of smaller and larger activities, such as spiritual conventions, sports events or dances, etc. One of the main points is that all that is between 18-30 should feel welcome in the group. Everyone should be able to grow in selfconfidence and in their testimony of Christ. In all our assignments in the church, prayer is a very important tool. If we are to have a meeting or need to solve a problem, then we always have a prayer first. Everyone in this group are also in the same age (18-30) and to our help, we have our bishop and other church leaders. But also at my work, I have the help of gospel principles. I really try to see all the people in my daily life as Christ sees them. A prayer in my heart during the day helps me to be certain of things that I learned in nursing school. Things needed to help others and sometimes saving lives.
