Hi I'm Rachel

I am a wife and mother of 3 boys. I love to run and I am a photographer. I believe life is full of choices and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I started my family young, and a lot of people say i missed out. But i believe every family is different. I continue to do things i love and explore new ways to make life fun. I am a wife and mother of 3 very energetic boys. I found a love for photography soon after my first was born and it continues to be fun way to express my love for art. I have learned that balance in life is key, and while struggling to decide if part time working is ok for our family i found a love for running. It opens my mind and makes me feel great. I have learned that life is full of choices and i can decide to make my life the way i want it to be. I may not be able to stop the bumps in the road but i can choose to have a positive attitude and go find someone to serve. My life is always busy, loud and hectic but i think i would go crazy if it were any other way. oh and did i mention i LOVE to shop!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but really found my conversion at 16 years old. I felt i needed to know for myself. I studied the scriptures and prayed for weeks. I always had a good feeling but it wasn't till one night when i was struggling and i came across a scripture in the middle of the night and it was then that i knew God knew me personally and was there for me. Ever since that night, i have continued to see and feel my saviors love for me. I am a mormon because i have prayed and received a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and i cannot deny it for a minute.

How I live my faith

My faith is my life. Not only do i serve in the church, but i am a room mom, team mom, visiting teacher, friend, sister, daughter and everything else a wife and mother are. I choose to be modest, and clean always. I am loyal and loving. I try to always be the best me in action, words and dress. I am far from perfect but i know that the more i strive to be a good person and try to please my Heavenly Father the happier i am and people notice that. I want people to look at me and say, why is she different? And in turn maybe i can get the courage to say, well... I am a mormon.

What is being a Mormon like?

I love seeing the look on peoples faces when they find out i am a mormon. Besides the usual "oh...really..." followed by silence, they usually ask next, "so what is that like?" and i laugh and say, "well i love it!". I try to show people how i am not really that different and how living the commandments brings joy and happiness. I don't feel like i am missing out, in fact people usually say that they wish they could live that way. I love my family and try to teach my children that being a member of the church is full of opportunities to grow and love people just like Christ did. I am grateful to know Gods plan of Happiness and feel the Joy it brings me. Show more Show less
