Hi I'm Wade

I am an industrial designer, lover of all board sports, camper, climber, mountain biker, musician, dad, and I am a mormon.

About Me

I am the eighth child of twelve kids! I love to mountain bike, climb, skateboard, snowboard, and I learned to telemark ski a few years ago. I enjoy that feeling of being successful at something new; something that is difficult to do. I really like peace and quiet, like you can find in places like the mountains, but I enjoy music and people also. I play the guitar and a little piano. I am an Industrial Designer. I love my family. I am excited about the future. I am a Mormon. One of my favorite quotes is by Mahatma Gandhi. "Be the change you wish to see in the world". I don't think you could count all the lessons to learn from others, but we each also have things to share, ways to influence what's going on around us, a unique perspective to change the world. Sounds a little dreamy maybe, but it's true.

Why I am a Mormon

Life is about making choices. No matter where we are, what we've been given or not given, we get to chose. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I, like all, am always making mistakes, and I have been able to repent/change and grow from my mistakes. I have learned, from the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a point of view that allows me to use my mistakes to move forward. Mistakes can be stepping stones to a better life. God gave his permission and power to act in his name to us (his children on earth). We can receive the cleansing peace that comes from Christ when we do as he has taught, and make covenants through by his Holy Priesthood. That power is held in this church. I have prayed to know it for myself, and over time my feelings of this being true have been confirmed again and again. There is so much sadness and wrong in the world, being a Mormon has helped see what I can do to really help and make a difference. It is a perfect plan for imperfect people. When we all do our part to understand and live by Christ's example we will change the world.

How I live my faith

I really feel that I am most confident and most successful when I am doing my very best to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through faith I know who I am and why I am here, alive. That for me has changed the way I look at everything; how I see myself, how I see others, and what I hope for in the future. My perspective on life is changing/expanding all the time. I get to make monthly visits to specific people im my church and I always become great friends with those I visit. I get to help organize activities and also participate in great discussions about Christ's teachings, the world, and our/my life today. Also while I am out I try to notice and do what I can for the people around me. Opportunity knocks and then it's on its way. I believe that. In school and work I am learning how to see and solve problems, as well as give the solutions value. There is so much we can do to help each other; those around us and those far away. I hope to design/create great products that excite others, inspire them, and products that can relive the unnecessary burdens that many people live with everyday. So… I live my faith hopefully with great confidence in what I believe and know to be true.
