Hi I'm Brady Clifford

Born in California, raised in Arizona, went to school in Utah and now I work in California. The whole time I've been a mormon.

About Me

I do sales and marketing for a kitchen products company. I enjoy traveling to different parts of the United States and Latin America doing my job. When I'm not working I love to be outdoors. I enjoy surfing, playing volleyball and biking. If I'm not exercising I'm spending time with my family. I love to take my wife along for the ride wherever I go. Life's always more fun with a good traveling partner! No matter what I'm doing or where I'm at, I'm always doing the same thing every Sunday. I'm at church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or as they call us Mormons. My parents were Mormon, my grandparents were Mormon and their parents were even Mormon! Even though I was born into a long family line of Mormons, there comes a point in every Mormon's life when they need to figure out for themselves if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. For me this point came when I was 18. I decided that the best way to know if the church was true was by reading The Book of Mormon and asking God in prayer, if the Book of Mormon is true and if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. After several weeks of reading the Book of Mormon and praying earnestly for an answer I never really felt any answer. I just felt the same every time. Nothing special. It was only a few days later I remember reading the Book of Mormon at night and just feeling exhausted and tired. I was tired because I had put forth such a heart felt effort to know if this was true and I never really felt God answered my prayers. Well what I didn't realize was that it was all in God's time. I knelt down that night and began to plead for an answer to my prayers. So much that I remember it bringing me to tears. It wasn't long after I finished my prayer that I felt an overwhelming feeling of warmth and joy come over me. As I stayed kneeling, I knew that this feeling of joy that I had never felt before was God telling me through the Holy Ghost that these things were true. This was just the starting point of my journey to build a foundation upon this answer that I had received. Through continual scripture study, church attendance, prayer, service and striving to live a Christ like life; I have come to know that God is my Heavenly Father. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church.

How I live my faith

In addition to attending church every Sunday, I'm involved with the young men of the church. For one hour every Sunday I teach a Sunday school lesson to the boys aged 16 to 18. Most of the lessons revolve around how to be a good young man. How to withstand temptations of the devil. How to develop faith in God in today's world. Lot's of different topics that apply to developing young men into great husbands, fathers and leaders in the community, work and church. We also meet every Tuesday night as a group and do fun activities that revolve around personal development. Many times we will play sports such as basketball and volleyball. Sometimes we give service to those in need or help somebody with a project they are working on. We do lots of different activities that are fun and character building. It's really a great thing being a member of the church because as you progress spiritually, personally you are also able to help others along the way. I'm very happy to be a member of the church.
