Hi I'm John

I grew up on a farm. I do my best to live a honest life.

About Me

I like to ride horses, running, read Star wars books, look at the night sky, long walks, jack of all trades master them as I go, movie nights, I like to travel, being fair is sometimes tough but it has never not made me and the other person smile, I like the real laughs not ones that are at another's expense or my own. I like knowing I am not perfect cause it gives me something to work on, and I do not assume others are either and just smile when they say they are.

Why I am a Mormon

I did not always believe in God. I searched to know the truth of why we were all here on earth in my teens because of the many good people that were in my life. I studied everything but religion. I found and strongly believed after much study that there was light and dark, good and evil, and I knew any one could chose one or the other. even the I was still unsure about God did not really even think of Him at that time. Soon after I had an experience that confirmed to me that God was really God and that he knew me. I thought about starting a church up that had everything from every other church, cause it could not have bits and pieces (can't put the puzzle together with only some of the pieces) but a week later I met the missionaries at the home where I was staying and listened to them. I had never heard anything like what they were telling me but had been looking for it all my life. I gave up many things. I had found what I was looking for, and knew that no matter how hard things got that I was in the right place and this has kept me here even when I felt like an outcast I did not care it is not between me and everyone else but the Lord and I. Simply asking and doing good things, brought me a witness no one can take away from me.

How I live my faith

Helping others, giving calls to members in my branch to see how they are, giving high fives to the kids, we have many widowed and single woman in our branch we put a dinner on for them and the man get to put on a show to entertain them it great to hear them talk about it all year long about how much fun it was and what we might do the next time, we never tell them. I have found myself on roofs, in the back of moving vans, in attics. I live my faith day by day, having daily prayer, seeking to help out another when I can. I also find time just to listen, practice anyway.
