Hi I'm Jay

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old. And I Am A Mormon! I have found no greater joy, or truth in my 21 years of being on this Earth than i do to this day. I grew up Baptist and was "saved." Granted I never felt saved I felt empty inside. After a couple of years of going to this Baptist church I felt called to another church that would help me grow closer to Heavenly Father. I then Proceeded to attend a Nazarene church. That is when I soon realized that the Baptist church that I was attending focused on the salvation, and little on the growth and mission. The Nazarene church that I attended had the salvation down and also had the mission, but had little to do with the growth. I still felt empty, but I felt closer to Heavenly Father. After a while I grew tired of the church, and sought earthly desires, which i will leave at that due to the fact that my past was my past and is no longer my future. But i soon came to myself and realized my mistakes. This is when I found the Oklahoma City 5th Ward. I was baptized on May 28th, 2011, three days after my 21st birthday.

Why I am a Mormon

The church has provided for me a pathway, a light of truth and opportunity for me to become more like Jesus Christ the Redeemer and Savior of the world. I am grateful for the teachings of Christ and His example while He tarried on this temporal existence. May I daily strive to keep His commandments and live a life He would be pleased of.

How I live my faith

I try to live each day of my life in accordance to the teachings of Christ. I am not perfect but am working towards to obtain a closer relationship to my Savior each day.
