Hi I'm Brandolyn

I am a wife. I am a mother of four children. I home school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My dad was in the army growing up so I have lived all over the world. I love to travel and experience new cultures. I have been married for 17 years and I have four children ages 5-12 I love reading, cooking, gardening, flower arranging, going to art museums, making stained-glass windows, living sustainably, and having great discussions with friends, and renovating my house. I graduated from college with a Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing. I used to work in children's publishing in NYC. Now that I am a mom, I am lucky enough to stay home. I home school because I love to be there for the "aha" moments, I love the family time, and I love that my kids love to learn.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is Christ's true church. It contains the fullness of the gospel including the authority and the ordinances necessary to return to God. As I live the principles of the gospel, study my scriptures, pray, and attend my church meetings I feel the Holy Ghost witness to me that the things I am doing and the things I am learning are true. I have great peace and joy in my life in knowing that I am doing what God wants me to do. Because I know why I am here on earth and where I am going after death, my life has great purpose and I have strength and peace during trials. I know that I can return and live with God again with my family because of the atonement of Jesus Christ and there is no greater knowledge.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in the presidency of the children's organization of our church. I work with three other women and we are responsible for overseeing the gospel teaching of all children ages 18 months to 12 years old. We are there to support our Sunday school teachers, music teachers and to teach the children through activities, lessons, and song. I love to share my love of my savior Jesus Christ with the children and help them learn to follow him. I am also a visiting teacher. This means that I have another woman as my companion and we visit several women from our congregation once a month. I also have visiting teachers that come and visit me once a month. This is a wonderful program where the women in our church can serve and strengthen each other and discuss the gospel together in our homes.
