Hi I'm Sheila

I was born in Jamaica, I'm a mother of 7, I'm divorced and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 7 children--5 boys and 2 girls--all of whom are now grown and gone from home. So I'm retired. I have fibromyalgia and it's pretty severe so I'm a homebody. I am a trained image consultant, I bead jewellery, I sew and I knit. I cannot use a knitting pattern because I'm dyslexic so I design the patterns myself. I'm a wannabe gardener who mostly just digs up weeds to maintain what came with the house when I bought it. I have my friends identify which ones are the weeds and which ones are the plants I want to keep because I am far from expert in this pursuit. I love to laugh and to make other people laugh and I have a grand sense of adventure even though my kids think I'm kinda boring but hey, what kids don't think that of their parents.

Why I am a Mormon

After much prayer and a lengthy process of elimination, I finally found a Church that I can believe in and follow. I know this Church is ordained of God and that, in it, He is well pleased.

How I live my faith

I teach the kids in what is known as the "Primary" organization of the Church and I am the secretary and music director for the women's auxiliary organization. I visit with other women and help see to their needs as a sort of watch care program known as Visiting Teaching. I talk to anybody who wants to know about my beliefs but I do not believe in being too pushy about it.
