Hi I'm Josh Reed

I love biking and the outdoors. I love reading everything and writing. I love chocolate pudding and I love being a Mormon!

About Me

I'm from Provo, Utah. I went to a scout group every week and so I grew to love the outdoors. I love to bike up and down mountain trails. I probably like it because I like the peace and quiet, and enjoying things slowly. I like to take the time to think about life and who I am, or who I should be. For this reason I also like to read and to write. Every time I read a book I get excited. I love stories that make sense out of life. I love to write to express myself and share what I learn and enjoy with others. I'm also a Mormon. And that means a lot to me! Mormon's are only just called Mormons, but we try to be true followers of Jesus Christ. The name of the our Church is His name.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Everyone calls the members of this Church the Mormons. I like Mormon, he was a good man. The name comes from a man who abridged a history of an ancient people who lived in America. The book is called The Book of Mormon. I love this book, not because of Mormon exactly, but because the book is about Jesus Christ. It teaches us about him and his Gospel, just like the Bible does. The bible talks about his life. The Book Mormon teaches his gospel and talks about his visit to America. He is truly the Son of God, and His words need to be heard by everyone. That is why Christ visited the Americas and taught there. I have had questions about my religion. I wondered if the things I was being taught were true. Did Christ really visit the people in America? Is the Book of Mormon truly the word of God, along with the Bible? I prayed to God to answer these questions for me many, many times. I received a reassuring answer that took time to understand. The answer was; you already know it's true. Whatever is good will bring forth good fruit, and I already knew and experienced the fruit of the Gospel, of the Book of Mormon and the Bible. I knew this Church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was God's true church and that he wanted me to be apart of it. Without a doubt this is Christ's true gospel. I know it. I'm a Mormon and I'm Happy.

How I live my faith

I try to be the best disciple of Christ that I can be. It's really hard sometimes to be like him. He was so great, and I sometimes feel jealous, angry or offended. I realize that I'm not perfect, and that nobody is. I go to church on Sundays to learn about Christ, his gospel and the things that I can do to help me become more like Jesus Christ. I love reading the scriptures. Especially the Book of Mormon, because it reminds me of Christ and what he would do. Reading the scriptures helps me to keep the Spirit near me, which always helps me know the things that are right and true. The spirit teaches me and leads me along the path that Christ walked. I know that following the spirit is the most important thing to do to become more like Jesus Christ.
