Hi I'm Ken Lau

My parents are from China. I was born & raised in California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love spending time with my wife & 6 children. When I have free time, I enjoy fishing. For work I deliver bread & snack cakes I also run an on-line business on the side. My dream is to be a full-time husband & father and be a part-time business owner.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was in my early 20's the missionaries shared their beliefs with me. I listened to their message in the home of a Latter-Day Saint family. I was amazed with the peace & joy this family had by simply living what they believed. I was raised in other Christian denominations and had many questions; the missionaries & my new Latter-Day Saint friends answered all of my questions and more. As I thought deeply on the tenets the Latter-Day Saints believe, I agreed with what I was taught. I had been searching for a deeper meaning to life so the principles also touched my heart. I decided to get baptized and have since served a mission sharing with others my belief in Jesus Christ and of His Restored Gospel.

How I live my faith

Currently I serve in my congregation as the Mission Leader. This means I help organize the preaching of the Gospel it's so fulfilling to see people change their lives & choose to follow Jesus Christ. The most important work I do is within my family. I love praying & reading the scriptures with my family as well as individually. I also live my faith by being honest & kind and helping others where I can. When I make mistakes, I change & press forward. Life is great when I focus my thoughts & resources to serve others.
