Hi I'm Carol

I'm a mother, a grandma, a wife, a neighbor, and a friend, Everything good in my life has come from being a member of the church.

About Me

I feel like my life is a big patchwork quilt - many pieces in various shapes, sizes, and colors. I graduated from college as a nurse practitioner and loved the medical field and caring for people. However, as our family grew and my husband traveled frequently for work, I chose to stay at home and be a full-time mom. I have been blessed to raise and enjoy my 8 children, and now I have 6 grandchildren to teach and play with. I love cooking, sewing, reading, music, gardening, traveling, quilting, volunteer work, family history, and collecting nativity sets from around the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am so grateful to have been a member of the church all of my life. It has been a strength and light to everything I have done. The gospel is the foundation on which I built my life. It has guided me in choosing the things of value and worth. It is my point of reference as I measure every decision against it's teachings. When I follow the gospel path, I stay in a place of safety and refuge. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and is guiding and blessing my life throughout all the challenges that come. I know Christ is my Savior and has provided a way to return and live with Him.

How I live my faith

I love serving in the church and just this year finished an assignment working with the wonderful teenage young women. I am now a music leader where I get to teach some of my very favorite songs to the fun and sweet children each Sunday. I appreciate the variety of opportunities in the church serve with so many different age groups and needs. I also enjoy sewing quilts for the church's humanitarian center. The church is a way of life and I live my faith by being a follower of Christ. I try to see people and their needs through His eyes and strive to be His hands and His heart in serving for Him. Every day I strive to be a better person and to teach my children to be examples of Christ at all times.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

We believe that we lived before we came to earth and that our spirits continue to live after we leave this earth. We know we have a loving Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ, who await our return. We know that families can continue their relationship throughout eternity when they are sealed together in one of God's holy temples. We believe that we continue to grow and learn and progress beyond this life. Show more Show less
