Hi I'm Anna.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. I received my diploma at the airport as I was leaving for a full-time mission in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Upon my return home, I worked a few various jobs until I ended up working in research compliance which I love. I am married to an amazing husband and father. We have a son and twin girls. I get to stay at home to raise my children while still working in research compliance from home. I also write for a blog for moms in the little spare time that I have. I love photography, especially film but don't have the resources to focus on film so I stick to digital. I am a book snob. My favorite band is U2 and I've seen them multiple times on their past four tours. I love discovering new music. I am remarkably good at figuring out the ending or plot twists in movies. I listen to NPR. I love to travel but don't do it as much as I'd like to. I still follow politics but hesitate to engage in any political discussion on social media. I'm also timid about discussing my religion using social media but I felt like I needed to simply share my testimony with others through my profile. I hope my words touch your heart.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but from a young age was the only member of my family who attended church. As I grew older, my church attendance was more sporadic. Surrounded by friends who had strong testimonies, I was able see how their faith greatly influenced who they were and who they were to become. It placed in me the desire to understand how the light of Christ could be with me as well. In college, I began to more firmly understand the gospel. I was led to serve a mission and it was there that I learned even more about how to lead a Christ-centered life. I know the gospel is true because I live it which strengthens my testimony. There are countless experiences of personally receiving answers to prayers (not always the answer I wanted but answers nonetheless). I am overwhelmed by how much Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me and each of his children. I am grateful for the atonement and its healing power in all aspects of my life. I have a testimony of the restoration of Christ's church and am grateful for the direction Heavenly Father gives us through a living prophet.

How I live my faith

Attending church with three young kids can be hectic. But I've learned to prepare myself spiritually and to understand what an impact it has on my children to attend every week. Currently, I work with the young women in church. I feel like they are an inspiration to me because of how they choose to live their lives at their age when so many of their standards seem odd to their peers. I try to be a good citizen and serve others. I know that opportunities are all around us. I often find such opportunities serving neighbors and friends.
