Hi I'm Crystal

I was born in Sacramento, then grew up in Mesa, AZ. Now married and a mother of 3 young children.

About Me

I graduated from High School, went to junior college, and then got married. I've been married for almost 11 years. I have 3 children ranging from 2 to 9 years. I graduated from the community college with my Associates degree. And now I run my own business along with the other responsibilities of being a mom. I am very involved in my church callings and helping those around me deal with life. It brings a smile to my face when I can help someone feel good about their life and situation. I love to sing and dance. I swing danced in high school and try to get my husband to join me whenever possible. I played the flute for 12 years through school and still play once in a while for church events. I also love to paint ceramics. If you give me a blank canvas I would make a mess but ceramics seem to be my forte. These hobbies make life more interesting and something fun to teach my children. They love it when I get the paints out.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I'm a member of the church? I asked myself this as a youth. Then I asked myself, what else could I be? There is no place I could find greater truth or understanding then the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has taught me how to deal with life, and love it. This church has been a gateway to understanding my Savior and what the "Plan of Happiness" really is about. I have learned to be happy despite financial, social, or mental difficulties. Through every trial I've been given I've grown closer to my savior and Father in Heaven and in turn a greater happiness. I've also earned a greater capacity to love my follow-men. I used to struggle with dealing with others; thinking life would easier if I didn't have to deal with them. But I learned different and now I treasure every opportunity to love, serve, or even associate with others. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church on the Earth today and Jesus Christ commissioned it so we could have the truth.

How I live my faith

I spend my time caring for my family, both immediate and extended. I also serve the youth in my ward. I was recently released from being the Primary President and have been called to serve the the cub scouts as the cub master. It's not something I have ever done before so I get to learn something new. I love to fill needs of my neighbors and friends to keep me busy. I love to help in their gardens, take care of their children, and do their dishes whenever possible. I remember when keeping up with the house chores was an undaunting task and the feeling of liberation when I finally could do it. I try to share that feeling with others whenever possible. If I do nothing in my life but love and teach my family and make life easier for others I will have succeeded.
