Hi I'm Wes

I am a father, an orthopaedic surgery resident and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be outdoors. I particularly enjoy playing with my family, fishing, riding road bikes and mountain bikes, hiking, and camping. When I am not playing I am working hard as an resident orthopaedic surgeon. I enjoy being able to improve the health and functionality of others and to cheer up those that are faced with some of the most difficult events in their life.

Why I am a Mormon

I had the great fortune of having parents that taught me the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a child. Their faith has inspired me to gain my own testimony of Christ and his plan for us to return to him with our families. One of the great truths of the Gospel is the focus on the family. My testimony is that through the sacrifices and mercy of Christ our Savior that we can return to our Heavenly Father's presence with our families. This has added importance to me personally having to cope with the loss of my sister at a young age as well as several other loved ones. Christ lives and is the perfect example for us. In our day, God has called prophets and apostles to lead His Church to guide us. I love their words and can feel the Spirit of God when they speak.

How I live my faith

Because of my profession, spare time is limited and focused on the necessities of life. This has taught me to sharpen my priorities. My focus has become centered on God, my family and His Church. The vital importance of prayer, scripture study, church attendance not only make me a better disciple of Christ, but also improve the relationship that I have with my beautiful wife and children and help me to become a better surgeon. Having a life centered on Christ puts all aspects of life into perspective and give me greater peace in our troubled world.
