Hi I'm Ryan

I'm going to college, I grew up in a military family, I love music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I served a mission to the Washington DC South area for 2 years to share what I've come to know of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. I've completed my Associate's Degree in General Studies and I'm now pursuing a degree in Radiography. I'm the oldest of 3 kids, none of us are married yet. I love professional cycling, football, and playing with my family (especially my dog). I love Jazz music and played the trumpet for 9 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I've felt a confirming peace from the Holy Spirit when I go to the LDS church or read the Book of Mormon together with the Bible. I feel like God knows me personally and is reaching out to help me with my problems and struggles in life through the words of prophets and apostles both anciently, as well as today.

How I live my faith

I've voluntarily served in various positions within the LDS church since I was 12 and have loved the joy I feel when I've helped people and the peace that I've been blessed with for living a clean life. I go to church every week for 3 hours to learn about Christ, strengthen my faith in His teachings, and join with others in worshipping The Almighty God. I do my best to provide service to any who stand in need, even if it's just helping them with simple things like carrying groceries. I believe that it's the small and simple acts of kindness to others that bring me closer to Christ.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

No, though we're strongly encouraged to be active participants in the political process. I believe in voting for the candidates who's platforms best match my own views, political party is not what's important to me. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Faith is what keeps me going day-to-day even when I hit the wall and say "This is it. I can't do this anymore." My faith is my belief that things'll work out eventually, and my trust that the Lord will keep me afloat enough to make it through till it does. It's extremely hard for me sometimes because of I have depression, but when life drives me into the ground I hit my knees and take my faith in prayer to the Lord and plead for Him to take the wheel, which He does and will continue to do as I continue to strengthen my faith and seek Him out.
