Hi I'm Caralee

I'm from Ontario Canada and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a happily married mother of 2 girls. I had a rough time when I was in high school and was a high school drop out. When I was on maternity leave with my second child, I completed high school through correspondence and then went on to earn a college diploma as an Educational Assistant. I love belonging to a church that really teaches the importance of education.

Why I am a Mormon

Belonging to Christ's church gives me nothing but happiness. I was born into the LDS church and was raised in a large family by amazing parents. I did however have struggles as a teenager and had decided to leave the church in my late teens. Never because I didn't believe in it, it just didn't "fit" into the life I was living at the time. That life was always missing true happiness and I really was lost in a world that was taking me no where. I did meet my spouse during this time and we started our life together. He was diagnosed with cancer shortly after our wedding. I had some pretty amazing spiritual experiences happen to me during his recovery which led me to my return to church. I know that this is God's church and I can truly feel his love for me. I know that Joseph Smith was chosen to restore the gospel in this dispensation. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I serve as the Young Women's President in my branch. I work with Young Women who are such an amazing example to me and their friends. We live in a community where our girls are the only LDS members in their high schools. I can relate to them as I was also the only LDS member at my high school. I love to help them plan activities where they can invite their friends and have positive experiences, away from the pressures of their peers. In the past 6 months, we have had 2 friend baptisms and it's so exciting!! I try to live my life in a way that Christ lived his life. I am so far from perfect, but I live to provide service. It makes me happy and is so fulfilling. I've had a lot of friends tell me they want to go to a church where you don't get asked to do stuff. I love belonging to a church where I get asked to do stuff. Sometimes it's challenging, but it's so rewarding and I feel like I'm constantly growing. This church has turned me into a leader, teacher, public speaker, councillor, party planner, singer, pianist, and so much more. I'm so grateful for the opportunities that I've been given to serve. I'm grateful to be a member of God's church.
