Hi I'm Tyler Powell

I grew up in Menifee, California. I love to fish, laugh, Chill, play sports, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

My name is Tyler Powell. I'm from Southern California but currently live around Charlotte, North Carolina. I come from a family of 4 that consists of my Dad, Mom, and Older sister. There are currently two members of my family on missions for my church. Myself as one and my Mom as the other. I love to go fishing. Ever sense I was born my Dad and Mom would take me and my sister on fishing trips to the mountains. I love the time I get to spend with my family and friends. I'm big on sports and Nascar. I'm very optimistic and try to be that guy who everyone enjoys spending time with.

Why I am a Mormon

I can say that I grew up in the church but was not born in it. My family joined in 1999 when I was 8 years old. from 1999 to 2004 I have loved my time spent in the church. I had been taught all about the key role of family's in God's plan of happiness. I had learned that family's can be together forever! Though this was taught to me it took a life changing experience to really understand what it meant to me. On December 28th of 2004 my mom had passed away from cancer. Such a vital role in the family had been ripped out from underneath me. Though such a lose can leave one with feelings of sadness and anger, it effected me quite the opposite. I have had the knowledge of this great plan of happiness that was taught to me by great teachers in Sunday school as a kid. I'm so grateful for the things that have been taught to me and how they have effected my life in times of trial. So I'm a Mormon because of the happiness and peace that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought into my life.

How I live my faith

At the moment I am living my faith by serving a full time mission for my church. I have been blessed with the opportunity to go share the message of Jesus Christ. The same message that has helped me in my life trials. I have seen so many people come closer to God and Jesus Christ while on my mission. I have seen many people completely change their life around for the better. I'm just grateful to God that I can be an instrument in his hands to bring people closer to him. After my mission, I will continue to talk to people about this great message I know. My full time mission may be over but I'll never be done sharing what I know to be true.
