Hi I'm Kendrick

I'm from Connecticut and Illinois, a business strategy student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on the East Coast and went to high school in Chicago. I am a college student in the last year of my undergraduate business degree and I am currently in the process of applying to dental schools. I am a big sports fan. Growing up I was involved in most mainstream sports from swim team to football. I love speaking Spanish, cooking, singing, boating, snowmobiling, cycling, hiking, going to the beach, watching movies and making people laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ and I'm proud to call myself a member of His church. People not of my faith will oftentimes ask me if it is hard to live by all the "rules". My reply is that despite the temptations that exist, in the long run, living a clean and moral life is much easier and more fulfilling. I have learned for myself that enduring happiness only comes from living in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ. He is our Savior and Redeemer. He is the Son of God and it is only through his mercy and sacrifice that we can overcome sin. I know that Christ lives. I know that He loves us and I'm grateful for the guidance that I receive in this mortal existence through living prophets and prayer.

How I live my faith

In the simplest sense, i live my faith by trying to be like Jesus Christ. I try to perform simple acts of service. I feel like i have been blessed with so many talents and that i should use these talents to help others. I also try to be a positive influence to those around me- whether it be through service, a smile or a positive attitude.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Grace is the mercy of our Savoir. It is the grace of Christ that we are redeemed from our sins. While the grace of Christ is ever present, we are not without responsibility to try and live the doctrines and principles that Christ taught. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes. We are followers of Jesus Christ and His teachings. He is the center of our lives. He is my Savior and the Savior of the world. He was and is a perfect being. He suffered for our sins and rose again so that we could be saved. Show more Show less
