Hi I'm Nick

I'm a Mormon. I like to run, ride motorcycles, travel, good food and spend time with my family.

About Me

I am a dad of two with a third on the way and I love it! Professionally I have owned my own search and outplacement firm for 10 years and enjoy helping others identify and communicate their strengths. Some hobbies I have are running, having completed several marathons and triathlons. I just recently purchased a motorcylce and am loving the experience. I have lived all over the United States from Connecticut to California. I am the middle of 5 children. My father was in the Marine Corp and we moved a lot. I have visited Europe, Asia and Mexico. I enjoy learning and have degrees in Spanish and Business.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon and I believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I believe that I am a son of God and that He love me. I believe a big part of life is about relationships and family. I love my family greatly and believe that Our Father in Heaven wants us to be together beyond mortality. I have felt the Spirit of God witness to my spirit that these things are true. I believe Our Father in Heaven wants us to be happy and that He has given us guidelines to experience maximum joy in life through obedience to His commandments. As I live His teachings, I find that I am more confident in Him, myself and that I truly am happier.

How I live my faith

I feel that serving our my fellow man is allowing me to gain selfless attributes and experience joy. I have been able to volunteer and teach Junior Achievement, participate as a Big Brother, work in Boy Scouts and a variety of other activities. I volunteer my time at church working to educate people in my community on being self-reliant, preparing for disasters that hit most of us in life such as job loss, natural disaster or long-term illness and how to cope with and prepare with such issues prior to experiencing them first hand. Additionally I work with the hispanic community in learing the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love working with others and find that I have been the one benefiting from my service. I have benefited and gained friends, humility and wisdom from those I serve with.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

Nick
The Holy Ghost is a member of the Godhead. The Holy Ghost is the way our Father in Heaven communicates truth to us, His children. The Holy Ghost is sent from our Father in Heaven to teach us truth, let us know that God loves us, and that God knows who we are as individuals. The Holy Ghost is a spirit and it communicates to our spirit. This is a precious experience that allows us to know independent of anyone or anything else what is true. Only through the Holy Ghost can we have a witness of truth for ourselves. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Nick
Faith is trusting that God is our Father and that He keeps His promises. He promises us that if we live our life according to His rules, we will be as happy as we can be and free from many of the sorrows that life can bring. Faith is putting aside my own thoughts and understanding for something better and more perfect. Show more Show less
