Hi I'm Wendolens

My family is everything. I love hugs. Dancing is the expression of my soul. Love makes life awesome. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have just returned home from serving the Lord in His great and marvelous work as a missionary. Serving as a missionary was the best experience for my life and loved every second as well as learned at every second. Before the mission I was going to college and studying Sociology, now I'm back and starting right where I left off :) My family is my world. I come from a single parent home, where my mom has been my greatest inspiration, and truly is a hero in my yes. My younger brother is another hero to me, who is so full of wisdom and helps me see life in such a great light. We love to dance in my family! Laughing is a must. Life is so sad with out it. Trying new things is too fun not to do, even with foods :) and I'm truly in love with love. I belive that love makes this world go 'round. Love is what inspires women and men to live to their fullest. Whether it be love for a family member, a friend, spouse, and especially God and Jesus Christ. It is love that brought forth the Atonement of Jesus Christ and God's plan of happines for us. I'm very passionate about social justice and I've gained that love in learning that every person on this earth is a child of God and that each should be treated as such. That's it. Love. Just Love.

Why I am a Mormon

Why not? The fullness of the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored upon the earth. The Savior himself leads His church through a living prophet. It has brought me the greatest joy, comfort, peace to know that my family is eternal, that I am a daughter of the Almighty God, and that He truly hears and answers prayers. I know without a doubt in my heart and mind that this is the true church of God. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God, as is the Bible and that Heavenly Father prepared them for our day, for our specific trials. I know that the scriptures are letters delivered to us from a loving Heavenly Father, whose goal is to have us back in His presence, and if we read them, study and ponder them we will know what we need to do. God himself sent His beloved Son to suffer for our mistakes, our sins, our sorrows. He has felt our heartbreaks. Christ underwent everything so that he could understand us in everything and then help us. lift us up. heal us. There is no greater love than that. Being a member of HIS church and living to HIS words is the least I can do to show the great love and appreciation I have for him and his infinite sacrifice. I've asked and I've received an answer from God that this is true. From there it is just about doing my Heavenly Father's will and following Christ's teachings :)

How I live my faith

The gospel of Jesus Christ truly is one of love and it is evident in every aspect of His church and the principles there taught. Truly the greatest way to live the gospel of Jesus Christ is through example. I love the quote by Francis A cici (I hope that is spelled right) who said (or at least is close to this), "Preach the gospel at all times and if necessary use words." I truly believe that by doing our best in keeping God's laws and commandments, and serving and loving HIM first and foremost is what our Father in Heaven wants from us. As I've learned of the Atonement of Christ, I've realized what a great gift our Father in Heaven has given us, and I could not keep this great joy to myself which led me to serve a full-time mission in the beautiful Rio Grand Valley in Texas and helping others come to this great truth also. In reality I've gained so much more than I've given. Seeing the gospel of Jesus Christ touch and change lives is the greatest gift in serving my Heavenly Father. Truly the gospel is more than just going through the motions, it is living it everyday and becoming what our Heavenly Father desires us to become.
