Hi I'm Elias

I pick up garbage when I walk. That is my Superpower. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born in Australia, grew up in Western Canada. I played rugby and the trumpet in high school. I love to sing, run and pick up garbage on the street. I love to share the gospel. I am currently served a mission in the Canada Winnipeg mission, sharing the message of God's love and His restored gospel with everyone I could. I am now married to a wonderful girl and will be a father soon!

Why I am a Mormon

I have too much experience with the gospel to doubt or deny its truthfulness. I am happiest when I am living the teachings of the Lord given in scriptures, and it fills my heart with joy to know that God in our day and age called a Prophet, from among his children, to be his mouth piece in these short days prior to the second coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I love knowing the Lord loves all of us and cares for us individually. I love that we all can and should have a personal relationship with God, Our Heavenly Father. I have prayed and recieved a witness of the truthfullness of the Church.

How I live my faith

Because of my love for the Lord and for all of you, his children, I am motivated to be my best self and be of service to God and my fellow brothers and sisters of the world. I study the scriptures and the word of modern Prophets daily, and seek to draw closer to the Lord through prayer every day. I strive to share God's love in everything I do. I care for the earth through respecting animals, working the land, not being wasteful, composting, recycling, and picking up garbage while I walk. I have a passion for such things. I smile and greet strangers and when I get the chance, I introduce them to Christ's gospel and invite them to pray and to learn more and find out for themselves it is true. I invite all to pray.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Elias
We believe the Bible to be scripture the word of God, as far as it is translated correctly. I am reading the Bible and prayed about it and know that it is the word of God, and is written to help God's children, even in our modern day and life. I know that God has provided additional scripture for our day, namely the Book of Mormon. Also, we have the words of modern prophets, spoken at General Conferences bi-annually. Show more Show less

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Elias
Regardless of race or color, all of God's children can, with His help, meet the qualifications of baptism into His Church. All worthy men in the Church receive the same priviledge to hold the Priesthood of God, and serve in that capacity, regardless age or color. I have neighbors and friends of different races who are faithful members of the Church. They are in full fellowship. The men in their families hold the Priesthood and serve in faithful callings in the Church. My community and nation is blessed by faithful members of the Church, who come from all backgrounds and ethnicities. Show more Show less
