Hi I'm Christopher Yi

I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have been a member of the church since 2005. I am a musician and an educator. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the arts, music being my particular favorite. I want to become a music educator and inspire other people to come to feel the blessings of peace and love through music. I believe that music brings the love of God and His Spirit into all of our lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through a friend when I was 16. I had very little religious upbringing prior to that, and I had so many questions that I did not know answers to. As I learned different beliefs and points of views about God, I began to attend the LDS church as well as another. As I attended church, and as I met with the missionaries, I felt such a difference from the other things I had been learning, and I found answers to the greatest questions that I could never find. I prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was true, and I felt that it could not have been made up. Since then, I have gained so many strong spiritual experiences that has solidified that young faith that I had. I know that the Church is true because it all centers in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us.

How I live my faith

I try to be positive and always look for the good in any situation, because I firmly believe that this is exactly what the Savior Jesus Christ wants me to do every day. Though life does get everybody down, I feel that my most important job is to be happy that I have all the blessings that I do have, and to not forget that. I have served as a missionary, and I currently continue to teach the Gospel in a Sunday School class that visitors are welcome to come to. I love teaching and helping others learn more about the Savior, and helping them to improve their lives as I try and improve mine every day.
