Hi I'm Laura

I'm a nurse, I'm a mother, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on the east coast, in Baltimore, Maryland. I went to college and received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. After working in a Psychiatric Hospital I decided to go to Nursing School. I received a bachelor's degree in Nursing. I work in a Pediatric Emergency Room and I love my job. I am also a wife and mother. I have an amazing husband and a beautiful baby girl, both of whom I love more than I could ever say. I have also traveled extensively with my husband, living in Maryland, Arizona, Utah, Mexico, and the Czech Republic. We have also been to France, England, Scotland, Germany, Italy, Greece, and Spain.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it brings me so much happiness. I know who I am and why I am here. I know that I am a loved daughter of God. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that he died for me. I know that he is an advocate for me. I'm a Mormon because I have prayed, studied, and questioned and come to know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a true church of God, it has things that other churches don't offer. It offers another Testament of Jesus Christ in the Book of Mormon. It offers a living prophet who speaks God's word to us today. It offers a focus on Christ- centered homes and families, and my family is the most important thing to me. It offers me a daily opportunity to come closer to my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the way I treat others. I try to remember that everyone around me is a child of God and deserves to be treated as such. I also serve in our women's organization at church. We help organize service to other women in our community, in and out of our religion. We uplift each other.
