Hi I'm Peter

I grew up Idaho, I'm a artist, I want to become a animator for the future, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My dads a Doctor and my Moms a nurse. I grew up in the country outside of the little town of Kimberly. I ended up spending up most of my childhood looking for this and that. I'm a Geek, not going to hide that, because I enjoy it. I have tried all my life to lead a balance between geekness and rest of life. I like everything that builds me up; boating, art, reading, whatever. Forget negativeness, that's too easy. I like taking the hard and orginal road. I have talent in the arts. I am very passionate to about animation, video games, swords, and art. So what do you do, You go into animation. In my senior year in High school I switched high schools. I went to a High School in Utah that was a public charter school. I got to meet a lot of cool people. They were teaching animation there. I had a mentor that taught me a lot and helped me define my passion more. I am going to BYU to try to get into the animation program. I had a passion to go on a mission since I was little. I decided to go on a mission then, and I was then called to go on a mission to Fort Worth Texas. Now, helping the church go forward, and grow. Even though I am home I still strive to be committed, and I wear boots most Sundays. I believe in Honor, Integrity, Duty, Justice, and Truth

Why I am a Mormon

As an artist you can't please everybody, A lot of people have different opinions. Opinions, criticisms, and what not have dragged people down since the beginning of time. The gospel has always helped me especially when I have been depressed. I have gone through depression. The thing is that facts are facts, like God is real and Jesus is my savior. This Church is true, and the only way you can find out is by reading the Book of Mormon and asking God. Sometimes I say and do things that I regret, and Life seems to drag me down but I know because of the atonement, I can repent and excercise my faith in correcting what I can and doing it right. I learned at a very young age to trust in God. You got to seek out stuff, because Most of life's answers are in the scriptures, or prayer. They are already there. You just have to do what God asks and ask, seek, and knock.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, by obeying the commandments and precepts that are taught and fulfilling the responsibilities that come with that knowledge. Not only that I fulfill my duties that I have been given so that I honor God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. In the church we each get assignment to serve in the church and those assignments are different at different times. I served as a missionary in Fort Worth Texas, but now I serve in other callings because being a missionary is such a short time. These callings are not all we do. I strive to live all the teachings of the Savior so that I may be worthy to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Peter
The Lord has taught that we ought to serve one another. The Priesthood, which is the authority to act in Gods name to teach the gospel and to administer ordinaces, requires that one serves others and to help them out. If you serve, you must serve out love. This is a duty of the priesthood. This becomes invalid, and nothing if one is to be paid. Show more Show less

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Peter
God has put it that way. It is just like using driving a car. Just because someone can drive a car doesn't mean that the person is legal. That privilege comes from an automobile department that sets the standards because of the departments desires. The privilege for the priesthood is dependent on the desires of God. Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Peter
The Lord has said all worthy and able young men need to go. Those who have a desire to serve God (Doctrine and Covenants 4:1) are called to the work. This has been revealed through a living prophet from a living God. I could say more, but that is the answer, either the Lord has commission his servants or his not. Show more Show less

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Peter
Lord commanded it to all people in the Book of Malachi (3:8-10). It was important enough that it was taught to the ancient people in America. When Christ came. He told them of the prophet Malachi and the scriptures that he wrote because in them was the will of the Father concerning the matter. The Lord commanded it. Since it is a commandment it is going to be followed by blessings. I like what Nephi said. 1 Nephi 3:16 Wherefore, let us be faithful in keeping the commandments of the Lord.... Tithing has always blessed my life, and always will. Show more Show less
