Hi I'm Ron

I'm a Mormon. I am retired. I serve as a Ward Clerk. I served a 30 mos. mission in Germany. I grew up in Southern Alberta.

About Me

I grew up on a farm. Moved into the City of Lethbridge after my mission to Germany. Worked in the Lethbridge Municipal Hospital for 5 years, then became a Manager for Co-op Stores. I became a Financial consultant, and eventually moved to Victoria. I have 6 children, 29 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren (so far). My wife Linda and I moved closer to where Linda grew up

Why I am a Mormon

Initially because I was born into an LDS family. I gradually gained my own testimony by living the principles expounded by the Church and by reading and studying the scriptures. "Defending / explaining" our religion while serving as a Missionary in Germany 7 years after World War II aided in my spiritual growth. I know that God restored His gospel to the earth through his chosen prophet Joseph Smith, and has provided a succession of prophets ever since.

How I live my faith

I worship the Lord God on a continuous basis. I serve as called upon. I have been serving as a Clerk for the past six years. I have participated in choirs, duets, solos, and in the Home Teaching program, visiting members as assigned, serving wherever and whenever I can.
