Hi I'm Lauren

I'm a navy brat. I'm a Mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I met my husband on a blind date in August 2008 and married him in February of 2009. I graduated with a degree in Special Education that April and taught children with Autism for a year and a half at an elementary school. It was such a rewarding job, but now I get to do something that I believe is more important. I stopped teaching when I became pregnant with my sweet little daughter and now I am a stay at home wife and mother. It is hard work, but it is what I have been dreaming of doing my whole life. I am so blissfully happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the only thing that truly makes sense to me. I grew up learning where I came from, why I am here and where I am going. I never had to wonder those things and I am so grateful for that. I am a Mormon because I know God loves me and must have made a perfect plan for me. He wouldn't leave me without prophets to teach me, or without His Spirit to comfort and guide me. Every happiness I have experienced has been a result of my obedience to His commandments. And through every sorrow He has given me comfort. I am a Mormon because it feels right.

How I live my faith

I live my faith my reaching out to my sisters and encouraging and helping others to do so. I help to make sure that every sister in our congregtion is visited and befriended at least once a month. This is so important to me. I feel like I am on the Lord's errand my helping to take care of and love His children. I also live my faith by taking care of my family. I know that the family is central to Heavenly Father's plan for us. I feel that as I take good care of my family I am taking care of God's children and trying to love them as He does. I know that the most important work I can do is within the walls of my own home.
