Hi I'm Brian

I grew up in Mahtomedi, MN. I have 3 children. I work for the Dept. of Homeland security and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I ride a Honda Nighthawk 650 to work. My wife and I recently acquired two dirt bikes for off roading. I enjoy woodworking a lot. I like to build picnic tables, patio chairs, pic. frames, anything that can be useful around the house. I also love to garden. I have tomato plants, one pepper plant and a strawberry plant in square foot gardening boxes in my back yard. I feel so productive when I can build something for myself. I also enjoy water skiing, tennis, softball, hiking, camping, golf and eating on the back patio. I love camping in the state parks and getting away from it all. It's such a relaxing thing to do.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon beecause I find joy in living the gospel of Jesus Christ. Did you ever wonder after reading the Bible which is written by prophets why we wouldn't have a prophet today? If God is the same yesterday, today and forever why would he call prophets in Bible days but not in current times? Why in a world of so much confusion wouldn't God have a prophet on the earth today? I testify that He does. President Thomas Monson is the Lord's prophet today. You can visit LDS.ORG and hear what the prophet is saying today for our times. I've made a covenant with God to live a chaste life. My wife has done the same. It's so good to know that she has eyes for no other man but me. I enjoy my good health due to following the word of wisdom. I enjoy reading the Bible, especially the New Testament and hearing the words of the Savior of all mankind. Jesus lives and guides His church today. You can find this out for yourself. You can also learn where we came from, why we're here and where we go after we die.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my example. Profanity has always been my pet peeve. There's no reason to use vulgar language. Every day I strive to treat others the way that I would want to be treated. I was just called to teach the 16- 17 yr. old youth sunday school class. I'm very excited to get to know what challenges our youth are facing today. ( I didn't grow up with sexting. ) Even though my father never joined the church he often tells me how much he admires my faith. I love the sound doctrines of Christ's true church built on the foundation of prophets and apostles. I love serving my neighbors. We are all God's children and have great potential. This life is the time to develop our talents and gifts.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Baptism is a way of showing your commitment to living the gospel and it's also your promise to take upon yourself the name of Christ, always remember Him and keep his commandments. One must be baptized by proper priesthood authority. The same authority that Christ used when He was on the earth. Show more Show less
