Hi I'm Amie

I am a wife and a mother. My family is most important to me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a mother. When I was in High school and was asked what I wanted my major to be in College, it didn't take long for me to choose Elementry Education. But what I really wanted to be was a mother. This major I thought would bless me with the skills to better teach my future children. Little did I know how important this choice would be for my family. As a type one diabetic the fear of not being able to have children was always there, but my family did come after a lot of hard work, loss, and personal growth. Nine pregnancies later I am blessed with four beautiful children. My children have many wonderful strengths they also have their challenges. I have a child with Autism and one with ADD. Teaching them the things they need to know in this life can be a hard. But, I am strengthend daily by the Lord and his angels . As a family we have come a long way and are excited to see where the future brings us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because with all my heart I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I grew up in the church and was blessed with wonderful parents who taught me the importance of living the gosple. I have always known the church was true and was grateful for the experience of leaving home for collge and continuing to live the way my parents had taught me. The gosple is my life. Every hour of every day is influenced by my membership in the church. I am so greatful for a loving Father in Heaven who has a plan for his children here on earth. To learn and grow and be tested to see if we will be faithful to him though our trials. Through my trials I have felt his love for me so strongly. I am gratful for our Savior that has made it possible for me to repent of my sins and mistakes and be forgiven. I am gratful to be married to a wonderful faithful man who is my very best friend who loves and serves the Lord and our family. I know that my family can be eternal if we do all that we can to keep the Lord's commandments. I am a mormon because it helps me be a better person.

How I live my faith

I live it every day. With my husband I teach it everyday to my children through scripture study, singing, and family activities. I attend church every week. A few years ago my husband was deployed. I had a 5 year old with Autism, a 3 year old, a brand new baby, and church started at 8:30am. Going by myself was not easy. I often wondered why I tried. The reason was to teach my children that the gosple of Jesus Christ and going to church is not just part of our lives when life is easy and when it is convienient for us. No matter what trials we face having the gosple in our lives will strengthen us and bless us. At church I work with the Children. I help orginize the sunday school teachers for children 18 months through 12 years old. I am also blessed to teach them as a large group.
