Hi I'm Mariah

I am a Wife, Mother and Sister. I am photographer and a stylist. AND I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a lot of love. Everything about me reflects my belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (the mormon church). I am sealed to my eternal companion for time and all eternity because we were married in a Temple of the Lord's. Our two young daughters are also sealed to us, making us an eternal family. This means that even after the life we live here on earth, we will be together in Heaven. This I love. I love people, I have always been a "people person" maybe it comes from growing up in a outgoing-friendly family, or maybe it's because I've always loved having a lot of different friends. I "get" people. I understand that we're all fighting the hard battle. I have compassion for others, and hope that they do for me as well. I love photography, I love capturing beauty that can be made tangible. My favorite sessions include sleepy, tiny newborn babies. They're so fresh and perfect. If I could only photograph one thing for the rest of my career, it would sleepy, delicious little babies. I love making people feel beautiful. Everyone deserves that. There's nothing more exciting than watching someone's confidence grow as they feel better about themselves. I love that you can change someones bad day into a good one with a little boost and maybe a little slick of some pink lip gloss.

Why I am a Mormon

Having grown up a member of the Mormon church has blessed my life in so many ways. My mother is a convert to the church and I don't know where our family would be if she hadn't made the decision to be baptized. All throughout my life, I've had a testimony of the truthfulness of this church. It is not something that is easy for my to communicate in words, but more of a spiritual feeling. Something that is between me and my Father in Heaven. I have received answers to so many prayers, and I know that they are answers from Him. I am a Mormon because I have faith. 100% faith that I know this is God's one true church. I have never doubted that. And I have been blessed countless times for having unwavering faith. I feel of His love for me. If you are someone who is seeking a testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, ask. Our Father in Heaven knows you by name. He knows the desires of your heart and wants to give you eternal joy and peace. He wants you to know that we are not alone in this world, that we can be together as families in the eternities. Do not fear, TRUST in the Lord and you will see an amazing change in your life.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I am blessed to work with the young children of our church. They belong to the "Primary" or the children's group. I love teaching young children about the gospel of Jesus Christ. There's nothing more exciting than seeing their faces light up when they come to know of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I get to hear their sweet testimonies and watch them grow in spirt. I live my faith each day as I go about my life as a busy mom and business owner. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't associate myself with good people who may not be of my same faith, who maybe I can share my testimony with. I try to be a good example to my friends and family who are not Latter-Day- Saints, so that even when we are not talking religion, they know what is in my heart. I live my faith by patterning my life after the counsel of our Prophet, Thomas S. Monson. I know that he speaks to the Lord directly and gives us counsel to help us through our hardships. I know that he is a man of God and that the words he speaks are true.
