Hi I'm Barry

I'm a Mormon. I was raised in a small town, went on a spanish speaking mission to Columbus Ohio.

About Me

Im a return missionary from Columbus Ohio (spanish speakin). I love the outdoors and all the activites you can do. Huge fan of camping, hiknig, swimming, hunting, fishing, and just having fun. I come from a family of 7 and love family. I can't wait to start my own with the right person. I love to read and draw, I play guitar and a little piano, music has always been huge for me in highschool I played baritone and enjoy most types of music. Because of the big family i'm a little competitve and love board and card games. I'm an electrician by trade but am looking to get back into school and study electronics and computers.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and rasied mormon, I took it for granted till I went on my mission, on my mission I worked with a lot of families going through hard times and I saw the changes that came over the people I taught and how much better life was when they began to live according to the commandments. I was forced to look inside myself and see if I was serving my mission because 4 of my brothers had served before me, or because I really wanted to teach the gospel that had been part of my life since I was born. I came to understand how much the gospel had blessed and helped my life and had such a feeling of comfort and peace that I should be there helping the spanish people I knew the Lord was happy with my decision to serve. And now that I've been off my mission for 10 years now, I still feel that peace and love when ever iI'm at any functions of the church.

How I live my faith

I love to go to church, there I have the priviledge of translating our meeting to spanish for a couple of spanish families that attend each sunday. We dont have alot of spainsh people here where I live so we dont have our meetings in spanish. I regularly visit spanish families with the misssionaries to translate as well. I also help arrange events for the singles of the church here and attend myself.
