Hi I'm Stacey

I was born and raised in San Jose, CA. I love to tap dance, play board games, and be an aunt. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the Bay Area and I am the youngest of 5 siblings. My brothers and sisters are 10-20 years older and I am closer in age to my oldest niece than any of my siblings! I have come to learn that I was born into the family that would help me grow the most. I love my family and I love being an aunt! Growing up I loved participating in performing and visual arts. I love to dance (especially tap dance), I love to play the piano and sing, and I participated in band growing up. I also love art- drawing, crafting, painting, anything that lets me be creative. I have a passion for history, teaching, and just being around others. I thrive and find I am happiest when being around people, and I probably laugh a little too much. I graduated last year from Brigham Young University with a degree in Communication Disorders. I plan on going to graduate school in order to become a speech-language pathologist. I look forward to being able to serve clients with a wide range of speech and language disorders. I decided to serve a mission before starting grad school and I am serving in the Ohio Columbus Mission! I have found that the greatest blessings in my life have come because of being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I want to be able to share that joy with others.

Why I am a Mormon

As I grew up I was able to see the happiness my parents and siblings had because of being a member of Christ's church. As I participated in the programs of the church, read from the scriptures, prayed, and lived the principles of this gospel, I gained a testimony for myself that the church is true. I prayed to Heavenly Father and learned that He is always there and is always available. I have come to see that many of the greatest blessings in my life have come from being a member of this church. During my freshman year of high school my dad passed away pretty suddenly from complications involving his heart. Because of having a testimony and knowing that our journey and my dad's journey doesn't end with death brought peace in a troubling time. I found myself relying on my testimony to know that God was still there and loved me and that everything would work out in the end. This life is a tough experience with its ups and downs that mold us into the best version of ourselves. I have loved having the guidance of Christ's teachings, the scriptures, and prophets to help me through the many trials of my life. Being a member of this church brings me the greatest joy and peace that I can't receive anywhere else.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and try to read from the scriptures everyday. Currently I serve as one of the sunday school teachers at church where I get to teach a lesson once a month out of the scriptures. I also serve in the presidency of the women's organization at church. As the assistant secretary I help organize visits to girls that I feel may need a visit, a friend, or a little help. Right now I am preparing to serve as a full-time missionary for the church where I will be able to serve and teach people how to come unto Christ.
