Hi I'm Kalub Spendlove

I'm Married. I struggle with School, nevertheless I strive to be my Best. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! My name is Kalub. I love working hard and then playing harder. I have not gone to college yet. I am looking at becoming a Forensic Psychologist. I really like to learn new awesome things and I believe in learning all that I can. The most recent thing I've learned that is amazing is rail guns! I grew up on a farm and I've enjoyed looking back at my life and savoring the moments. I didn't always like to work but my parents always told me that sometimes we have to do things that we don't want to do. Now after doing all that I want to do it. It goes to prove that we can learn to love work. I love to milk the cows early in the morning and I love to go hunting. I have 3 weapons; I have a .22 rifle named Reba, a 12 gauge shotgun named Shelly, and a glock 40 pistol named Alexi. And I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints but that doesn't mean that I was forced to be a member. I know that we can follow the coat tails of our parents for a while but there comes a time in our lives that we must choose for ourselves. When I was in my early teens I found out for myself that the church is true and that Joseph Smith is the man chosen by God to restore The Church of Jesus Christ upon the earth. I know this by the sure and true witness of the Holy Ghost manifested in my life. I have read The Book of Mormon many times now and I know for myself that it is the word of God as is the Bible. There have been times in my life where it is not easy to be the person I want to be. That is the beauty of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that when I recognize that I'm off the path of God I can repent of my sins and transgressions and continue to build my faith in Jesus Christ. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to be the true and living church of Jesus Christ once again restored on the earth today. I know it and you can know it for yourself too.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary. Every member of The Church is innately a missionary. Why is that? Well if you had a special message or item or anything you would want to share it with others. We have a message to the world that God communicates with us today through a Prophet and we have His power and authority here on the earth today! As a member missionary I love to tell others about the goodness and love of God that he has for his people. I also remind people that the best source for learning about The Church is its members, its missionaries and its "fruits." Remember. You don't taste an Onion to know what a Peach tastes like.

What is being a Mormon like?

Kalub Spendlove
Being a Mormon is Awesome! It is like living in a huge family that loves you and cares about everything that you do. In a family we have rules. In the Church we have rules. Many people try to make rules seem bad and detrimental but in reality they keep us safe and free. We are free to do anything that we want but we cannot choose the consequences of our actions. When we choose to follow the rules we are still free to break the rules but we won't want to because we can know that following the rules we will be happy. When we break the rules there are consequences that we cannot control. Those consequences can and eventually will bind us so it is harder to do what is right. By the grace of God we know that Jesus Christ is always there reaching out to us and will always be there to save us. When we follow the rules we follow Jesus Christ. When we don't follow the rules we follow Satan. Jesus Christ Brings us great Joy into our lives. As a member of His church I have great happiness and joy! Show more Show less

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Kalub Spendlove
What people have coined as Mormonism is really the Church of Jesus Christ that He had when He lived on the earth. His church that He established during His earthly ministry was lost after a period of Apostasy, or a falling away from the truth. Mormons believe that Jesus Christ has once again established His church on the earth again today. That the predicted apostasy happened and now there has been a restoration of the full and complete truth. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.(The Articles of Faith number 8) We believe that God has prepared a way for his words to be preserved and to be supported by many prophets. The Bible contains the teachings and learnings as recorded by the Jews and Disciples of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon contains writings of the prophets who lived in the ancient Americas. Though they are different books they are one in fulfilling the purposes of God. They support one another and were prophesied to be united and become "one in mine hand"(Ezekiel 37:19) We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.(AoF number 9) God has always revealed things to us and he is the same yesterday, today and will be the same forever. For I am the Lord, I change not(Malachi 3:6) Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

Kalub Spendlove
The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ. So just like we have an Old Testament and a New Testament we now have another Testament of Jesus Christ. Just as it says in 2 Corinthians 13:1"In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established." The Book of Mormon Testifies of Jesus Christ and was written by prophets. It is important to know that the Book of Mormon was written by prophets for the words a prophet says are the words of God. I know what Joseph Smith said about The Book of Mormon is true; that "the Book of Mormon [is] the most correct of any book on the earth...and that a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book."(Introduction to the Book of Mormon) I've gained my own personal testimony of this by reading The Book of Mormon and praying about it and by following the council of Joseph Smith; abiding by its precepts. I have seen my life change for the better as I have followed the teachings found in The Book of Mormon. I know that these things are true. I know that you can find out for yourself that these things are true. I know that when you do come to know that The Book of Mormon is true; you will know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is True. And you will have a desire to follow Jesus Christ more fully and be "no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God."(Ephesians 2:19) Show more Show less
