Hi I'm Leigh R Adelmann

Born in Pennsylvania, moved to Az and now I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Father of 5 beautiful and wonderful children from 3 to 14! I enjoy time with my family, hiking swimming or just watching a stupid movie like "Attack of the giant Spiders". I also like to read, garden and study the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I Believe in God! It starts there and I also believe that the Bible is the word of God. As a Jehovah's Witness I was tough that we owed God alone our aligence not any church or group. With that in mind I listened to the missionaries with the desire to free them from the Lie of Satan's world of false religion and in that time..... I was amazed at the depth and sincerity of there testimony and I guess the Spirit might have been felt a bit as well. In time I found that in addition to the truths I knew about the word of God and his plan for Earth, the people and for me there was so much more that I was missing. It was a hard choice to leave my family and friends and I knew they would need to shun me in accordance with there beliefs...... It was HARD! Today I am a member of Gods church. I know the choice was correct one to be baptized. I respect the beliefs of those I left behind and am glad that they serve God with there whole soul, heart and strength based on the knowledge they currently hold. I pray for them to always look for the truth and light of Gods truth.

How I live my faith

I have served in many different ways during my membership in Gods organization. I have served as the Cub Scout leader, in the elders Quorum 1st councilor, the Bishop Secretary, ward mission Leader as well as some Stake callings. But how I live my faith is not simply reflected in them.... they reflect Gods efforts to help me grow. I live my faith by accepting these Jobs I did not ask for or want. To try to do the best and make the calling mean something to someone. To help others feel the Love God has for us. I do that by sharing the feelings i HAVE FELT with them and Testify in word as well as dead that God loves us. Jesus lives and he reveled Fathers full Gospel to Joseph so we, his children, can find our way home. Have joy in this life and hope for better in the one to come. I find myself made whole in this and when I find myself looking away from the goal I find myself weaker.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Leigh R Adelmann
God has called prophets to lead His Church in our day, just as He did anciently. The current prophet and President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Thomas S. Monson. He is assisted by two counselors—Henry B. Eyring and Dieter F. Uctdorf. Together, they make up the First Presidency of the Church much like Peter, James, and John after Christ’s death. All members of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles are apostles and prophets. The current Apostles are Boyd K. Packer L. Tom Perry Russell M. Nelson Dallin H. Oaks M. Russell Ballard Richard G. Scott Robert D. Hales Jeffrey R. Holland David A. Bednar Quentin L. Cook D. Todd Christofferson Neil L. Andersen Show more Show less
