Why I am a Mormon

First of all, i am raised in the church. I got baptized when i was 8 years old. My lovely father baptized me. It was an awesome feeling. Now, i know for myself that the church is true. In the beginning it was all towards my parents and i went to church because of them. I also know that when we Trust in the Lord we will be blessed. Many things have happened in my life and at times i feel alone but i would always pray and i know my prayers will be answered in due time. I really did know that the church was true for myself. During the time i was in Young Women at age 12, i went to girl's camp. Many young women bore their testimonies and i felt the spirit so strongly that i really wanted to know. I read the scriptures and prayed to know if it is true. I am also grateful for the blessings i have received and that families are very important in this church. Families are FOREVER.. I LOVE it so much!!!

How I live my faith

I have served my Lord and Savior for 18months. I love every time i am able to teach the children of God. I enjoy helping other people the ones in need. I go to church every Sunday. I enjoy learning new things and applying it in my life. I love going to activities and spending time with other Latter-Day Saint members. When i surround myself to good Latter-Day Saint members i become a better person inside and out. I become more confident and positive and strong. I also hear a lot of church music. It brings me back memories when i was in Young Women's and we did a sacrament program. I love to sing and mostly singing church songs. Another thing is when i feel down i read the scriptures and read my patriarchal blessing and from those things i become a stronger person and my testimony grows. I continue to pray and communicate with my Heavenly Father. It is very important to be a good example and always wanting to become a better person everyday. I know i am not perfect and i make mistakes but i know i am forgiven and i am able to repent. It is understandable that life is not always easy but we are here to learn and grow. I am so grateful to have friends and family that relate to me and similar situations as me. Also, listening to the spirit has helped me live my life. I have learned a lot and continue to learn. I am so grateful to have parents that understand me and i am also grateful to have a sister and brother that i can talk to. :D

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Mu(tia)ra Ratu
Yes, I do believe husband and wife can be together forever. The reason for this is to be sealed together for time and all eternity in the Temples. They are very sacred and beautiful. I also believe that Mormons believe that families will live forever together in Heaven. There is a Heaven and technically we will be with our families together and with Heavenly Father in the Celestial Kingdom (one of the Kingdoms of Glory). I am so grateful to know that and to learn about it. It would not make sense if our life can't last forever. Also, being married to me means to be with our husband and family / loved ones forever. It will not just stop here on earth. I also know that i will be able to see my family that has passed before me again someday. Show more Show less
