Hi I'm JoAnn

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After being divorced for 12 years and raising my daughter as a single mom, I meet and later married a wonderful man on a cruise. We both share a love of the gospel of Jesus Christ and a love for travel. I am an engineer and have worked outside of the home all of my adult life. In addition to travel I enjoy reading, family history, and crafts. I have recently taken up weaving on a triangular loom.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church, and although I had a period in my life where I was not actively involved I have always know that the gospel was true. Prayer, and study have taught me that it is true, but the most important reason I am a mormon, is the peace that it brings into my life.

How I live my faith

Until a few weeks ago, I taught Sunday School to adults. I loved it because I learned so much myself about Christ and his mission. I am now the secretary for the women's organization, and learning a lot.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

JoAnn
Mormon women come in all shapes, sizes, personalities etc. just like all women. We all have a strong belief in the importance of families and being a mother, but many like me are professionals and work outside of the home as well as taking care of our families. Women, are equal with men, and are meant to be a helpmate with our husband, meaning we work side by side with them in all aspects of our lives. Show more Show less
