Hi I'm Ron

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Ohio and I own my own business.

About Me

I'm a father of 6 children and a grandfather of 25 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson. I've been married for 40 years. I own my own business and I am a convert of the church. I've been a member for over 40 years. I very much enjoy reading, especially American history and religious works.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because when I was in high school, and I decided to leave the church I was a member of, and no one cared that I left, even though I had been going regularly for 7 years. I felt they did not care about me or what happened to me. This did not happen when I investigated the Church. People I didn't know came up to me and made me feel wanted, and that has been happening for the past 38 years. I feel wanted and loved, and that was and is important to me. I read the Book of Mormon twice before I met with the missionaries and from the moment I started reading it, I knew it was true, and though I have read it well over 50 times in my life, I still get the same feeling I did when I first read it back in 1973. I know this is the true Church and that Joseph Smith was and is a Prophet of God called to open the last dispensation and to bring forth the Book of Mormon and all the saving ordinances and principals of the gospel. I know I lived before this earth life and because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, the doorway into eternity has been opened so that I can become as He is, as long as I repent and apply the atonement in my life on a daily on going basis. For I know that perfection is not achieved in this life, but will come in the next, so I must continue to go forth in faith and endure to the end. I know my Father in Heaven loves me and that I have an eternal Mother as well, and that my relationship with my wife and family can be eternal because of the blessings of the Temple. These things I have learned through my many experiences and the over coming of my many weaknesses and short comings. But, because of His great love I can be and have been forgiven many times. I cannot deny what I know to be true, for if I do, I might as well deny my own existence.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending to my Church callings and going to the Temple weekly. Mostly I can say that I live my faith by trying very hard on a daily basis to be obedient. Being a Latter Day Saint doesn't make me perfect, but trying the best I can everyday, helps me work towards perfection, and only He is the judge of my worthiness to be called a Saint.
