Hi I'm Claire

I am a lover of cheese, cows, and all things green. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a senior in college at BYU-Idaho and I am studying child development. More than anything I want to be a mother and have lots of children. My family is the most important thing to me in the world. My husband Daniel and I have been happily married for just over two years. I love everything about music: singing, dancing, listening to, or playing any instrument I can get my hands on. I also am passionate about playing sports, no matter what it is. I've been on soccer, volleyball, badminton, track, basketball, flag football, frisbee, and softball teams and loved each one! Being from Washington state I love the outdoors. Hiking and camping are a favorite summer pastime. I also love the rain and stormy weather. Lastly, I love cows a lot and lucky for me my husband was raised on a farm so we have a few of our own.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has brought so much joy to my life. I know it seems silly because most people are aware of all the things we can't do, but what may look like silly rules or restrictions, are really blessings in disguise. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ has helped keep me safe and avoid situations that would cause unhappiness. From a young age I understood the importance of families as taught to me by my Sunday school teachers. I learned that by living this gospel, I could be with my family forever, even after death. I love my family and would never want to part from them. I choose to be a member of this church so I can follow a path to eternal happiness with the people I love.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through examples of love and service to others. We are taught to live our lives according to Jesus' example and he lived a life of service. I try to love everyone I meet and look for ways to help others. Besides the service I do, I live my faith each day when I kneel to pray to my Heavenly Father and when I take time to study the Book of Mormon. Each of these things help me to strengthen my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Prayer helps me to develop a stronger relationship with my Heavenly Father and the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, along with the bible.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Claire
The easiest way to come to know our Father in Heaven is simply by kneeling and praying to Him. I know that when we pray, He is there and will listen and hear you. He will send his spirit to comfort us when we need and He will bless us if we ask Him with faith. The more we pray and the more sincere our prayers are the more we will know our Heavenly Father and feel His love for us. Just like our fathers here on earth, He loves us and wants to hear from us. He wants us to pray to Him. Show more Show less
